Giving to Horticulture
Why should I donate?
Our department consists of a teaching, research and Extension faculty on the Athens, Griffin and Tifton campuses. Georgia horticultural scientists use modern equipment and techniques to serve the state’s top agricultural commodities, including peaches, pecans, Vidalia onions and landscape ornamentals. Our students are able to gain hands-on experience through modern laboratories and equipment as well as teaching and research farm and greenhouses.
Your donation ensures that the Department of Horticulture can develop and disseminate new knowledge through student education leading to the improvement and facilitation of cost-effective and profitable production, postharvest handling, and utilization of horticultural commodities and services in a concerted effort to conserve natural resources while protecting and enhancing the environment. Every gift — large or small — supports another triumph, another breakthrough, another success story.
