Research Programs

The Department of Horticulture has a multitude of research areas including plant breeding/genetics/genomics, plant physiology, postharvest biology, plant production management, resource management, and native plant conservation.  The faculty work on a vast array of fruit, vegetables, ornamentals, herbs, medicinal plants, endangered native species, and row crops within their programs.  This diversity is one of our greatest strengths.

The breadth and depth of our programs can best be appreciated by visiting the summary for individual faculty programs.
